According to the results of the winter examination session of the 2024-2025 academic year, a competition has been announced for the awarding of vacant educational grants that have become available during the process of obtaining higher education.

In accordance with the order of the Acting Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 25, 2023, No. 443 "On the Approval of the Rules for Awarding Educational Grants for the Payment of Higher or Postgraduate Education Leading to the Degree of 'Bachelor' or 'Master'" and the Academic Policy of the NAO КМУ:

"Vacant educational grants, including educational grants for individuals from western, densely populated, and newly formed regions, released during the process of obtaining higher or postgraduate education (hereinafter - vacant grants), are awarded on a competitive basis to students enrolled on a paid basis according to groups of educational programs. The competition is conducted based on the results of intermediate certification, according to the average academic performance GPA for the entire study period. In cases of identical GPA indicators, priority is given to students with only A, A- ("excellent") grades, followed by those with grades from A, A- ("excellent") to B+, B, B-, C+ ("good"), and finally mixed grades for the entire study period. The awarding of vacant grants is carried out during the summer and winter holidays."

Vacant grants are awarded during the summer and winter holidays.

Document submission - until January 10, 2024.

The list of documents should be submitted to the schools:

  • A statement addressed to the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the NPJSC KMU, indicating consent for the publication of the student's GPA score in the public domain.
  • A transcript (upon completion of the session).
  • A certificate confirming social status (if available).

Attention! Important information for holders of educational grants (including vacant ones)!

In accordance with the order of the Acting Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 11, 2023, No. 403
"On the approval of the Rules for directing specialists to work, reimbursing expenses incurred at the expense of budget funds, providing the right to self-employment, exemption from the obligation or termination of the obligation to work off by citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan trained on the basis of a state educational order":

3. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan from among rural youth, enrolled within the quota established by subparagraph 3)
paragraph 8 of Article 26 of the Law, are required to work in education, healthcare organizations, veterinary state body divisions, veterinary organizations, or agricultural profile organizations, regardless of ownership form, located in rural areas, for at least three years after completing higher education (OVPO).

4. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan from among rural youth, enrolled within the quota established by subparagraph 6)
paragraph 8 of Article 26 of the Law, are required to work for at least two years after completing OVPO in relocation regions, the list of which is determined in the Government Decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 18, 2016, No. 83 "On determining regions for the resettlement of kandas and migrants".

5. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who enrolled in pedagogical and medical specialties on the basis of the state educational order are required to work in education and healthcare organizations for at least three years after completing OVPO or in research organizations in the field of healthcare.

6. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan trained in other specialties on the basis of the state educational order are required to work in organizations, regardless of ownership form, for at least three years after completing OVPO.

9. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan specified in paragraphs 3, 4, 5 and 6 of these Rules, are required to work proportionally to the actual time of their education on the basis of the state educational order after completing OVPO within the time frame specified in paragraphs 4, 5 and 6, The real ones Rules , by:

  • Transferring from paid education to state educational order;
  • Transferring from state educational order to paid education;
  • Expulsion from higher education under the condition of subsequent reinstatement within the current or next academic year.
The work period is calculated using the following formula: Formula, where:

T – work period in months, without splitting into days (rounding is done upwards);

y – actual duration of study based on state educational order in months, without splitting into days (rounding is done upwards);

x – total duration of study in higher education in months (rounding is done upwards);

z – work period indicated in paragraphs 3, 4, 5 and 6 of these Rules, for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have studied the entire period on the basis of the state educational order, which is 36 months (24 months for persons mentioned in paragraph 4).
